About Little Red Door Cancer Agency

Established in 1945, Little Red Door Cancer Agency is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the physical, emotional and financial burdens of cancer for medically underserved residents of Central Indiana by providing free patient services, cancer screenings and education.

For those who qualify, Little Red Door offers the following:

Patient services:

  • Transportation for cancer treatment
  • Wigs & turbans
  • Breast prostheses & bras
  • Nutritional supplements
  • Medical supplies (ostomy, incontinence, lymphedema) & equipment

Screening & detection:

  • Breast cancer
  • Cervical cancer
  • Colorectal cancer
  • Oral cancer
  • Prostate cancer

Education:

  • Presentations
  • Literature
  • Health fair booths

In addition to these programs, Little Red Door sponsors Camp Little Red Door (July 29 - August 3, 2007), a camp for Indiana children, ages 8-18, who are surviving cancer; and the Minority Cancer Awareness Coalition that focuses on reducing the rate of cancer incidence and death among minorities.

As a local, independent organization, all financial support directly benefits the Greater Indianapolis community. Over 85 cents of every donated dollar directly benefits services for those in need.

Little Red Door is a member agency of United Way of Central Indiana.
