Q. What is Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer?
A. Unite 2 Fight : Race Against Prostate Cancer consists of a 5K run, a 5K walk, and a one-mile family walk in downtown Indianapolis. Proceeds go to support prostate cancer services and research in central indiana. Click here to learn more. [return to top]

Q. Where is the race taking place?
A. Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer is being held at the Indiana War Memorial, 431 North Meridian Street, Indianapolis IN. The race events will take place on the streets of Indianapolis, begining and ending at the Indiana War Memorial. Directions to the Indiana War Memorial. [return to top]
Q. How do prostate cancer survivors participate?
A. Before the opening festivities, there will be a survivor picture taken at 7:30 a.m. Also, if a prostate cancer survivor registers, they will receive a specially colored bib number and T-shirt in their participant packet. [return to top]

Q. Who is Tuxedo Brothers Event Management?
A. Tuxedo Brothers Event Management is the professional event management company coordinating and running the race events for Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer. Don Carr is president and serves as race director. Phil Carr coordinates all the scoring and timing for events. Q. What is the mission of Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer?
A. The mission of Race Against Prostate Cancer is to make the most of life and the least of prostate cancer through education, patient services, screening, detection, and research to find a cure for this deadly disease. [return to top]
Q. Who is Rev. Charles Williams?
A. Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer was the vision of Reverend Charles Williams. It was his dream to create a event to build awareness of this common cancer amongst men which rivaled events designed to elevate awareness for breast cancer in women. Rev. Charles Williams was Honorary Chair of Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer during its first two years. He died of prostate cancer in July, 2004. Click here for more information about Rev. Logistics
Q. Where do I park on race day?
A. General parking will not be avaliable on the streets immediately surrounding the Indiana War Memorial. Keep in mind that some streets will be blocked to vehical traffic on race day. Two parking lots (Scottish Rite Cathedral and Radio One) are provided for you use on race day in addition to nearby free street parking: Click here for further maps and parking information. Q. When and where do I pick up my packet of information and T-shirt?

Q. What if it rains or the event is cancelled?
A. The event may be re-scheduled, delayed or cancelled due to extreme weather or other emergencies. If the event is cancelled, thank you for your contributions to this worthy cause. Sorry, no refunds. [return to top]
Q. Do you allow skates, bikes, etc in the race events?
A. No skates, skateboards, scooters, bikes, or pets in the race events. Strollers only allowed during the Rev. Charles Williams family-fun walk. [return to top]

Q. What timing systems are available for competitive runners?
A. All registered competitive runners will receive a Champion Chip timing device to track their time. The timing chip must be returned immediately upon completing the competitive event. If you fail to return the chip, you will be charged $30 to replace it.
For the non-competitive events, a clock will be displayed at the finish line for viewing. [return to top]

Q. What if I can't be there on race day?
A. Sign up for In-spirit Participation! You can still register online, have your own race web page, get a T-shirt (must be picked up at packet pickup), and raise funds in support of the fight against prostate cancer. Select "In-spirit participation" during the registration process.[return to top]

Q. What do I get if I register?
A. All adult registrations include a Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer T-Shirt, a bib number for the race, and an informational packet.
On-line: If you register online, you also get your own race web page where friends can support you on-line, see your progress, and join your team (if you are part of a team). Also you get useful e-mail tools for sending e-mails to friends such as asking for sponsorship or team participation. Each team is given a team web page with similar features (controlled by the team captain). [return to top]

A. In order to register for Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer, you must agree to the terms of the release/waiver statement below:
I have read the Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer entry form completely and understand the policies of the event. I know that participating in a run/walk event is a potentially hazardous activity and will require running/walking on city streets. I should not participate unless I am medically able. I understand the nature of, and assume all risks associated with my voluntary participating in this event, including, but not limited to falls, contact with other participants, the effects of weather, including extreme temperatures and precipitation, and traffic. Knowing these facts, I for myself, heirs, executors, administrators or anyone else who might claim on my behalf, covenant not to sue and WAIVE, RELEASE AND DISCHARGE Little Red Door Cancer Agency, Indiana Cancer Research Foundation, Vision Event Management LLC, The City of Indianapolis, and any and all sponsors affiliated with the 2008 Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer, Tuxedo Brothers, Inc, race officials, workers or volunteers, their representatives, successors or assigns for ANY AND ALL claims or liability, whether seen or unforeseen, for death, personal injury or property damage arising out of, or in the course of, my participation in this event. I agree that if I use a Champion Chip timing device and do not return it, I will be charged $30. I further grant full permission to the Unite 2 Fight: Race Against Prostate Cancer and/or agents authorized by them to use any photographs, video tapes, or other record of the event for any reasonable purpose.
